Inside Choko

HISTORY

Choko is a privately owned, Canadian company, based in rural Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada.

Our expertise is in designing, creating, manufacturing and distributing premium quality outdoor lifestyle apparel. No one designs like us. It’s what we do best. We understand and live the markets that we serve, and our creative minds and attention to detail in our product makes us the envy of our competition.

Founded in 1983 by the current owner, Ed Hakonson, Choko originally designed high end snowmobile suits and apparel for the developing leisure markets. The line soon grew into providing apparel for the automotive racing scene, and today the ‘Big 3’ auto makers of GM, Chrysler and Ford all trust Choko to create, design, manufacture and distribute high end apparel, under License, to the automotive markets across Canada. Ed still owns, operates and guides the company in its success, and above all, instils passion, belief, and a ‘can – do’ attitude into the team.  We work hard, we play hard. We are Choko.

Choko also creates, designs and distributes apparel for Snap on brand in Canada and worldwide and have an enviable reputation for design concepts and durability of their products.
We also own our own brands, including Tool Crazy, Hockey, and Farmers Feed Families. We are proud to serve our fellow farmers with great apparel that raises the profile and awareness of an industry so vital to our communities.
